Blood donation Camp

• YHM used to organize a open Blood donation camp every year. • We have completed two successful camps so far. (Mar 4th 2007 & Jan 26th 2008) • We also have a data base of Donors and manage to support the public in emergency of Blood. • We were honored by Dr.M.G.R.Medical College on June 15th 2008, for conducting the Blood donation camp on 26th Jan.

Cultural events • We used to organize for a cultural program as a fund raisal event to support the financial requirements of some homes and kids. • On 27th July 2008, we joined hands with V-Trust and launched a Cultural event called ‘Melody of Joy’. • We also used to support the Rotract club of Akash, every year, in their cultural project ‘Punnagai’.

Relation with other NGO’s: 1. Punnagai with Rotract Club of Akash. Punnagai is a one day Fund raisal cultural Event celebrated by Rotract Club of Akash, a Service body. It involves the programs of entertainment of the and for the special childrens. YHM first started its tie up with other NGO’s, in this event. We appeared as volunteers to take part in this event and continuing our part every year.

2. Village adoption with Saaral. One more NGO with which we used to share and celebrate our major parts of project is SAARAL. One of it is initialization of Village adoption program of Melappedu, a remote village near Thiruninravur. We started this project with a Medical Camp and Sapling plantation activities in the Village on 22.02.2009.

3. Melody of Joy with V-Trust Melody of Joy is a one day Cultural event for Special children, in which we joined hands with V-Trust to organize for it. This event is a mere reflection of Punnagai, the event which we join with Rotract Club of Akash. It is also planned as a Fund raisal event and we managed to use the funds for the Basic requirements of the Homes and Ashrams we used to visit, in and around Chennai.

Media Support to YHM: Currently YHM is working on spreading its wings all over TamilNadu. Already we have started our core team in various parts of TN like Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy, Karaikudi, Thirupur and so on. Media plays a key role in this Team extension process.

Achievements: • Saravanan, a Physically Challenged, started his company “Ability Works” after completing his diploma through VELLICHAM project. • Purushothaman is working in St Gobain after completing his diploma (under VELLICHAM project.) • Seven Visually Challenged people from Trichy have started a Small scale tailoring unit under MUGAVARI Project. (Create an entrepreneur) • Assisted Muruganandam (Physically Challenged) in setting up an internet café in unison with our partner organizations of India Vision 2020 Trichy under MUGAVARI project

Climbing Towrads: • We are now working on stretching the YHM activities all over Tamilnadu with the help of volunteers from various parts of state. • We are planning to adopt a village Melapedu near Avadi and work on the development of village. •We are planning to adopt an Orphanage HOME OF HOPE, Pakkam to improve Emotional Quotient(EQ) , Intelligent Quotient(IQ) , Physical Quotient (PQ) of the kids in home. • To start a Montessori school within next 5 years for street children • We are planning to organise an event headed by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with 5000 home/special kids and 10000 college students.
